Earlier I decided to learn Sanskrit. When I hear the language it sounds possible, but when I read it… hmmm

As with any other language I believe (maybe I am wrong) that I need some drills to get the basis… so I have decided to start with numbers…

P.S. today is the eight day of food experiment… vegan world. Yesterday I was FULL of energy (probably given from two-hours of Ashtanga practice and running 11K in the evening). Today.. I did Sun Salutations A and B (5-3), when I woke up.., I didn’t have time to repeat this two-hours-Ashtanga… so I practised more in the evening… 😊🧘‍♀️


I was exhausted and tired the whole day. I do miss the coffee… but after this 10 days I will probably drink coffee again. My intention is to avoid sugar and milk. I think I can do it without problem…

P.S. This blog somehow became a golden closet of thought, learning and exploring the Universe of Yoga ….

My own practice

I did the whole sequence today…. (again stuck in lotus)… but at least I tried them all.

  • Without shortcuts
  • Trying to do the right activation of miscles
  • Using Bandhas
  • Loud breathing
  • Focusing on Dristi (it did escaped several times just like the breath)

But I did it all the way.

I still don’t have drums that I like and want to use as metronom 😎 so I used intro mantra and drum music from You Tube:

After two hours of this practice.. I am completely different person. The change is always changing 😊

In Yoga… even in Ashtanga… there is a Variety of options to create the sequence. I guess we are a little bit different every single day… and I can now only imagine how joyful must be to know the hidden knowledge of Yoga Philosophy to create your own sequence. The sequence that your soul needs for some day.

Since it’s hard not to practice Ashtanga on Saturday and Sun Salutations seems to be not enough… we have the great web sources to explore some other types of yoga 🧘‍♀️😊

Mysore again

I like them both: practice at home and Mysore in Yoga studio. Life gives You a great number of Opportunities every day. It’s up to us to use them or loose them. Like the pain… pain is inevitable, while the suffering is optional.

I doubt that I will spend even a single day in my life without Yoga. I can always do et least Sun Salutations…

At the beginning of the year I have decided to do Sun Salutation every morning… and now I am doing it ❤️

Today’s Mysore was great. I came earlier.. somewhere around half eight. I forgot my Spickzettel.. so I asked for help. They gave me yet another version of Primary Series that I like even more…. I like this hint that shows when comes Vinyasa…

I did the whole sequence up to Navsana.. with only few modifications. I like when they make corrections in my pastures… they are usually very slight but from my inner world.. they are huge.

I also liked this assistance in the child pose… quick strong kind of massage off my spine. How did she know that it was exactly what I needed at that moment?!? 😱😊

I also confirmed that I can do more stretching with my right arm than with the left. Hmmm. Strange, isn’t it?

My food experiment? It’s even easier. I don’t even think about coffee anymore 😊

A cup of 🍵 is helpful. I tried some White tea. It was delicious and mild. I did enjoyed with my whole body in it 😎 pure Sensation indeed. for more info….

Less and less

As days go by.. I miss it less and less

Attachment and obsession are gone

Enough is to see it in distance

There is no possessive thoughts or wishes

One week was enough to let it go…


It is an old replacement for ☕️. They used to call it “poor man’s coffee. It reminds me on a story about white and brown rice. While white looks pure and fancy, brown is more rich in nutrients and good stuff making it a healthier version. I am still convinced that coffee has numerous benefits for human beings. And drinking several cups of coffee a day is beneficial and not harmful.

But as famous Sadghuru says: food/drinks should be option and not addiction.

I love this man. Everything he says is so clear, simple and easy to understand. You must question yourself after you watch this (or any of his) videos…..

Considering this… Zichorie (eng. Chicory, Cichorium intybus) is an interesting healthy alternative that can be used as a drink. Healthy option 🙂

Although not listed in current Pharmacopoeia, it has been used as medicinal plant by Egyptians and great number of cultures worldwide. Why? Because it was beneficial for a great number of disorders and diseases. From wound healings, gastrointestinal disorders, liver, kidney, thyroids, blood diseases, rheumatism and diabetes … to treatments of cancers. Besides numerous preventive and treatment benefits… toxicological research proved by several tests that this plant is sage for human use (for more info see Renee et al, 2013. PMID: 24379887).

It seems logical to include it in the diet plan. It even helps with weight loss 🙂 In special conditions like pregnancy or allergy … this beverage usage should be discussed with the doctor.

The question is only… Is it vegan?

It is caffeine free so one cup has zero caffeine (instead of cca 65-95 mg in coffee) even less than decaffeinated coffee.

At the end… I don’t think that coffee is the problem.. I should rather search for sugar and milk alternatives…..

And for practice… I missed my morning schedule….wooow… now I know why they say… do it in the morning…

It somehow gives you energy for the rest of the day……

Stuck in the Posture


Focused on each posture in the sequence… I do not get very far.

At first spot when I need to do the Lotus… I am done… still far away from it.

Padmasana benefits are not just one, but many:

  1. Calms the brain and relaxes the mind.
  2. Activates the spine, tones the pelvic muscles, and strengthens the urinary bladder.
  3. Provides a good stretch to the knees and ankles.
  4. When practiced regularly, the Lotus pose helps reduce menstrual problems and treat sciatica.
  5. Since it strengthens the pelvic muscles, this asana is helpful during pregnancy.
  6. A regular practice of Padmasana helps improve the posture.

In the evening, when I finished all my daily work… I missed something. I wondered for a while – what was that?!? And I realized it is a LED class…. so I added another exercise this day…. a short Primary Series…

It was (almoust) easy, the voice of the Instructor from Yoga Dose very calm, I liked it. But I don’t understand how can they all slow down in counting when the posture is hard to keep?!? How do they now the exact moment to slow down? And yes, these turtle like Postures didn’t look good in my practice at all. I always block myself somewhere and don’t know how to get out of the Posture… ahahah

Food Challenge… well… it’s not easy… the whole three days without coffee, sugar, milk, Coca-Cola, Ice-cream… and who know what.

Feelings? – I need some energy. I feel very exhausted in the afternoon. Maybe it will be easier in time…

Yoga Sūtra

My practice should continue by adding Asana to Asana. I will try to remember their names along with all the peculiar details to do it correctly. Currently, it’s only the standing and finishing sequence… but I will still continue to do the whole Sequence at least twice per week.

Vegan life? I can do the experiment for 10 Days… still I am not convinced to live according to all these principles. I do love coffee and I’ve read a lot of articles about beneficial uses of coffee …. but we’ll see. After ten days… I might change my mind…

  • Chapter I – Samadhi Pada – Concentration: It’s spiritual uses
  • Chapter II – Sadhana Pada – Concentration: It’s practice
  • Chapter III – Vibhooti Pada – The Chapter of Powers
  • Chapter IV – Kaivalya Pada – Independence

WOOOW… Sounds interesting 🙂 It would be nice to read it in original lanugage 🙂

Yoga Sūtra

The Yoga Sūtras of Patañjali are 196 Indian sutras (aphorisms) on Yoga. It was the most translated ancient Indian text in the medieval era, having been translated into about forty Indian languages and two non-Indian languages: Old Javanese and Arabic.[16] The text fell into obscurity for nearly 700 years from the 12th to 19th century, and made a comeback in late 19th century due to the efforts of Swami Vivekananda and others.   • alcohol
  • oil and fats (animal or vegetable origin)
  • milk and milk products
  • foreign spices including chilli, pepper, cinnamon
  • meat – any type
  • processed and canned food
  • half-processed food
  • soy and soy products
  • bread, pasta etc
  • fermented food including fungi
  • coffee
  • juices (from the store)
  • sweats (even those without sugar)

I didn’t stop the Yoga… actually I made it a bit of routine… trying to do it the best I can.

Last two weeks of my non-posting I was doing either well followed LED Ashtanga Class by Laruga… or Deepika

And other days… I was trying to remember the sequence and the right postures.

On Saturday… I did only Sun Salutation A – 5x and Sun Salutation B – 5x.

Finally, yesterday I tried a new LED Primary Series by John Scott:

It was really different and nice experience.

Today is Saturday – so I gave myself a class focused on Jumps in Ashtanga. Here I also learned that I didn’t use my Bandhas… wooow. It’s totally different experience to practice Ashtanga using it in a correct way…. I do have a beautiful and powerful adventure of exploring the world of Ashtanga Yoga 🙂 How lucky am I? 🙂

Do it anyway

I was really exhausted at the end of the Day.

A lot of work, not enough of sleep, rest and time for myself.

I didn’t have time for anything… BUT…

  • Dandasana
  • Bending after Dandasana
  • Finishing Sequence

Result: happy, energized, calm.
